The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition 2026 unveiled

The Witcher 3 will soon look better than ever, thanks to this mod

Next year, The Witcher 3 is going to look better than ever. This is thanks to a new edition of Halk Hogan’s famous “HD Reworked Project NextGen” mod. The mod is undergoing a rework for 2026, which will enhance more of the game’s textures, models, and materials. The best part of this mod is that all the changes are “lore-friendly” and in line with CD Projekt Red’s original vision. In other words, it provides gamers with a graphical boost without impacting the game’s overall aesthetic.

In case you were unaware, this mod was so good that an older version of it was officially integrated into The Witcher 3 as part of its 2022 “next-gen” update. Since then, the mod has been improved further with new texture replacements and asset reworks. Even now, this remains one of The Witcher 3’s must-have mods, even though the game now features a built-in (older) version of it.

In the video below, Halk Hogan has showcased the kinds of visual improvements that gamers can expect.

The Witcher 3’s HD Reworked Project NextGen mod is a must-download

The Witcher 3 is a visually stunning game, but it was developed for the HD era, not the modern 4K gaming era. It has a lot of low-resolution textures and assets. These look out of place on a modern high-resolution gaming display. The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project addresses these issues with new textures and other visual enhancements. Since all of these textures respect the game’s original artistic intent, they make the game look much better without making it look very different.

Honestly, this mod is a must-download for any Witcher fan. It’s available for free through Nexus Mods. This mod has been downloaded over 400,000 times. Special thanks to Halk Hogan for their continued efforts to improve The Witcher 3’s PC version. We are looking forward to your mod’s 2026 update.
