The Callisto Protocol now has a release date, and it looks a lot like Dead Space

The Callisto Protocol is coming to PC and consoles this December

The Callisto Protocol, the latest sci-fi horror game from Dead Space creator Glen Schofield, now has a official release date. The game's arriving this year on December 2nd on PC, Xbox, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. On PC, the game will be available though Steam and the Epic Games Store.

After the game's intriguing 2020 reveal, we have not seen or heard much about The Callisto Protocol, the Unreal Engine 5 based sci-fi horror. Now, we have some new gameplay footage to chew on, and it is gruesome. The Callisto Protocol will not be a game for the feint of heart, as the game's modern visuals, undead monsters and killer robots are all terrifying to behold.

In the trailer below, we do see some 3rd person segments that appear to show both melee combat and some shooter action. The game looks very Dead Space, but with modern visuals and darker lighting.

We expect to see a lot more from The Callisto Protocol as the game inches closer to its December 2nd launch.
