The Epic Games Store Promises a Free Game every Two Weeks

Epic Games has promised to deliver PC gamers free games every two weeks to attract them to the company’s new storefront, which promises not only to be free of Steam’s exploitable publishing systems but take a smaller cut from a developer’s revenue, taking less than half of Steam’s basic rate. 

Later this month, Subnautica and Super Meat Boy will be available for free on the platform, becoming free between December 14th-27th to December 28th and January 10th respectively. Both of these games are highly acclaimed, making them more than worth picking up on the Epic Store. 

The Epic Games Store will be open to third-party game developers, even if they do not use Unreal Engine to create their titles, with content on the storefront being highly curated to offer PC gamers the quality content that they deserve, acting as a stark contrast to Steam where pretty much anything can be sold on the store, seemingly regardless of quality.
