THQ Nordic releases Playable Teaser for potential Gothic Remake

THQ Nordic is testing the waters for a potential new Gothic game, an Unreal Engine remake of the Piranha Bytes’ 2001 original. Today, THQ Nordic has released a “Playable Teaser” for Gothic on Steam, a free download for owners of any game in the Gothic Saga or from Piranha Bytes. 

This downloadable prototype will give gamers a glimpse of what to expect from a Gothic remake, though this teaser is by no means representative of a final product. THQ Nordic has not officially revealed release plans for a Gothic remake, but the developer/publisher is clearly testing the water for a future Gothic project. 

THQ Nordic’s teaser will offer players roughly two hours of gameplay, allowing players to play through Gothic’s Khorinis Mining Colony location. THQ Nordic is eager to receive feedback for their playable Gothic teaser, as it will help them develop a full-on Gothic remake should the project prove viable.
