Tom Clancy's The Division now supports DirectX 12

Tom Clancy's The Division now supports a DirectX 12 renderer on the game's Public Test Server (PTS version 1.5), which should offer improved framerates for those with compatible systems.

Right now early reports on the game's new DirectX 12 version are positive, offering some small performance improvements on most systems. At this time we have not been able to test this game's DirectX 12 version, though we do plan on conducting some DirectX 12 testing in the near future.

This update is expected to affect those who use lower end CPUs most, as the DirectX 12 version of the game is said to improve CPU utilisation. This update is expected to come to the public version of the game at a later date, though it is already available to use on The Division's Public Test server.

So DX12, but they have STILL not fixed SLI or the memory leaks and stuttering that occur after about 20 minutes of play

They keep trying, but just missing the mark...Quote

Friend of mine on a 290X keeps getting CTD every 10-20 minutes too, Really odd as it only happens with TD.Quote

Aye I've been off it for a couple months now, came back to check 1.4 stuff. seems okay but still plagued with performance issues. None of which were there at launch.

I'd love to know who is in charge of their branches and merges as there's been no-end of things like this happen since release.Quote

I couldnt get back into it with the large scale hacking going on in pvp. Not to mention all the glitches and bugs that made the raids easy.Quote

Whoever is in charge needs to be fired.

It's the bugs like -

-Changing resolution causing a crash
-Changing from fullscreen to windowed fullscreen causing a crash
-Black screen on startup
-Random crashes

This should not be happening with a triple "A" game.

Oh and for anyone that is interested I did a DX11 vs DX12 side by side bench vid, Should take a few mins to get full quality -
