This free redemption period will start at 2 PM BST on August 13th, and starting at that time, PC gamers will have 24 hours to redeem their free copy of the game. After this free redemption period is over, the game will cost its official retail price.Â
SEGA and Creative Assembly have confirmed that this deal will not impact future Total War games. This offer is a one-time deal, and through it, PC gamers can get access to the newest Total War game for free. Â
Total War Saga: Troy will tell the story of the Trojan War, allowing players to take control of ancient factions as they wage war across ancient Greece and Turkey. Gamers will be able to control or fight against legendary heroes from that era and change history through clever battle tactics and shrewd faction management. Â
For PC gamers, Creative Assembly sees this as a risk-free move, as players will only a free Epic Games Store account to access Total War Saga: TROY on day-1. You don’t need to pay Epic Games anything to access Total War Saga: TROY, and that’s a generous move. Next year, on August 13th 2021, Total War Saga: Troy will release on Steam, giving Epic Games a year of exclusivity. Â
