Here's what to expect from Total War Warhammer III this year

Total War Warhammer III has recieved its 2022 update roadmap

Expect Immortal Empires to arrive in Total War Warhammer III in Q3 2022

Creative Assembly have to day released Total War Warhammer III's 2022 update roadmap, confirming that the company plans to release major updates to the game throughout this year alongside Free-LC content, faction updates, and the game's highly anticipated Immortal Empires Campaign.

Strangely, no paid DLC content has been revealed as part of this content roadmap, which means that Chaos Dwarfs fans will need to wait a while longer before their favoured faction is revealed.

Frequent Content Updates

The next major updates for Total War Warhammer III will be updates 1.2 and 1.3, both of which will feature Regiments of Renown Free-LC (Free DLC), alongside improvements to Total War Warhammer III's base game content. These improvements include Ai improvements, better campaign balance, reworked tech/skill trees, and improved battle mechanics.

With update 2.0, Total War Warhammer III will receive its Immortal Empires campaign, which will be available initially in beta form. This campaign will merge the campaign maps from Total War Warhammer I, II, and III to create a mega campaign that includes all of the factions from all three Total War Warhammer games. This campaign will grow and evolve as Total War Warhammer III's development continues, and will be a major part of Total War Warhammer III's long-term support plans.

Update 2.0 will also bring with it Total War Warhammer III's Blood Pack, which is free for owners of the pack for Total War Warhammer I and II. The update will also include a faction rework for the warriors of Chaos, the first of many Old World updates that are planned. With update 2.0, Total War Warhammer III's Lord Pack 1 DLC will be added to the game, adding new Legendary Lords, Lords, Heroes, and units to the game.

Beyond Update 2.0, additional content updates are planned for Total War Warhammer III, including the addition or more Free-LC Regiments of Renown and other unconfirmed additions.

Creative Assembly have been clear that Total War Warhammer III will continue to be supported in 2023 and beyond, though at this time the studio is not prepared to reveal further DLC or content plans for the game.

What a joke. Over a full quarter of no immortal empires. Just come confirms the game launched as a beta.

Tiny infrequent patches spread out over the entire year of post launch.

This roadmap that was promised a LONG TIME ago is full of very little information people have been asking about.

Very disappointed in CA with Warhammer 3. Especially after how phenomenal 2 was.Quote

As far as I am aware, a lot of resources were pulled from post-launch content and moved into these patches. IE, they are fixing the game's issues before they move onto post-launch content.

I agree that it is disappointing to see this. I can't wait for Immortal Empires. Has been playing Kislev lately, but once you crank the difficulty up, every enemy faction focuses on you and the game becomes impossible. That definately needs to be toned down. Glad patch 1.2 will be dealing with this.

I love the Total War Warhammer series, but it is a shame that the game is not as polished as it should have been. That said, I have still enjoyed it and put a lot of time into the game. Just not sure if I will put any more time into it before patch 1.2.Quote

Problem with needing to pull that many resources to fix the game is in itself the problem. The game has many glaring flaws that should have postponed the game for the second time.Quote
