Trackmania is now due to release on July 1st on Uplay and the Epic Games Store

Ubisoft has announced that Trackmania, the 2020 remake of Trackmania Nations, will no longer be releasing on May 5th, as Ubisoft Nadeo has delayed the game until June 1st.

Like many other games studios, Ubisoft Nadao has bee forced to transition to a work-from-home environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a factor which has already delayed several major AAA releases.

Trackmania is designed to act as a new beginning for the long-running racing series; offering players upgraded graphics, improved live content, more player progression opportunities and other notable changes.

Below is Ubisoft’s Nadeo’s official announcement of the delay, alongside the game’s latest gameplay trailer. On PC, Trackmania is due to release on both Uplay and the Epic Games Store.

   Hello everyone,

As you may know, the biggest international Trackmania competition, the Trackmania ZrT Cup already was postponed due to COVID-19. Also, our teams have been adapting to working from home, and even though we already are back to a good level of efficiency we need some time to make up for the transition. As a result, we have decided to release the new Trackmania title on July 1st instead of May 5th.

We know this is disappointing for those who were looking forward to getting their hands on Trackmania in May, but we believe this is the best choice for our players and our team, especially given the current circumstances.
