Turn-based Strategy CORRUPTION 2029 has been revealed for PC - PC System Requirements Revealed

The turn-based strategy genre is having a resurgence on PC, owing thanks to the release of titles like XCOM 2, Phoenix Point and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden. 

Fans of the genre will be glad to know that The Bearded Ladies, the creators of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, have announced a new turn-based strategy game called, CORRUPTION 2029, which is due to release on February 17th, 2020. 

The game places players into a near-future, dystopian United States, where the country has fallen into chaos. Players must take command of a squad of heavily augmented soldiers and infiltrate the regime which has turned America into a wartorn wasteland. Combat is not necessarily the best solution in all cases, making this game reliant on more than just unit placements, weapon loadouts and lucky shots. Non-violent options will be available in some cases, adding an extra strategic layer to the experience. 

Budget gamers will also be glad to know that Corruption 2029 will be available on PC for £15.99, making this a budget game release for The Bearded Ladies. The game will release exclusively on the Epic Games Store, which makes sense given Epic Games' generous revenue share system and The Bearded Ladies' use of Unreal Engine 4. These factors make such low pricing possible, as Epic Games Store releases don't have to pay the Unreal Engine's 5% licensing fee, and the Epic Games Store only takes a 12% cut of gaming revenues. 

CORRUPTION 2029 will be playable on Windows-powered PCs, with the game's minimum system requirements recommending Windows 8 or newer OS'. The game will require 5GB of storage and has modest system requirements by today's standards.
