Ubisoft leaks upcoming Assassin’s Creed Syndicate 60 FPS update
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate may soon receive a 60 FPS update on current-gen consoles
Ubisoft plans to update its last-generation Assassin’s Creed games for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In a now-deleted Tweet, Ubisoft LATAM stated that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will soon receive a 60 FPS patch, which should allow the game to run faster on current-generation consoles.
Previously, Ubisoft released 60 FPS updates for Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey for current-generation consoles. Now, it looks like Syndicate will receive a similar update. If Syndicate receives an update, Unity may be next. That should allow all major last-generation Assassin’s Creed games to run at 60 FPS on modern consoles.
Which Assassinâs Creed game have you played the most? (Maybe Syndicate will take first place with the new update that brings 60FPS)
It’s worth noting that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has already received a PlayStation 5 update. This update addressed backwards compatibility issues when playing the game on the console. Remember, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a PlayStation 4 game, which means it runs on PS5 through backwards compatibility mode.
Currently, it is unknown if Assassin’s Creed will also be receiving a resolution boost with this new update. The game already supports higher than 1080p resolutions through its existing PS4 Pro/Xbox One X support. That means that the game’s upcoming update should enable high resolution 60FPS gameplay when the game’s planned 60 FPS update becomes available.
