Ubisoft releases a new Co-op trailer for Far Cry 5

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Far Cry 5, which reveals that the whole game will be available to play in Co-op, aside from the game’s tutorial. Co-op players will play the game inside the host’s game, with all experience and inventory items (excluding quest items) carrying over to the next co-op session.

Only the host player will see story progress in Far Cry 5’s campaign, though co-op can be used to free roam and do activities in the game outside of its campaign, like fishing or flying.

Co-op will only be available in Far Cry 5 online, with the game lacking two-player split-screen support. Co-op will only be supported with up to two players, so do not expect GTA V-style multiplayer madness.

Far Cry comes to America in the latest instalment of the award-winning franchise.

Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate. Stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed, and his siblings, the Heralds, to spark the fires of resistance and liberate the besieged community.

Far Cry 5 will release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on February 27th, 2018. On PC this title is said to offer support for features like AMD’s “Rapid Packed Math”, which also means that the game will launch with support for either DirectX 12 or Vulkan.
