Ubisoft Reveals Far Cry New Dawn at The Game Awards

Ubisoft has officially revealed Far Cry: New Dawn, a standalone sequel to Far Cry 5, taking place seventeen years after the game's climactic finale. A global nuclear catastrophe has decimated the world, leaving Hope County, Montana in a state that is even more chaotic than before.

The game will release on PlayStation and Xbox One on February 15th, 2019. Ubisoft North America's trailer doesn't mention a PC version of the game, though we assume it is coming. The game will cost $39.99 in the US.

Expect to see many of the same locations as Far Cry 5, albeit in an unfamiliar state, with somewhat mutated animals roaming the landscape alongside survivors that wield a variety of weapons, be it firearms or buzzsaw firing crossbows.

Update - Ubisoft UK has uploaded the same trailer and has confirmed that the game is coming to PC on February 15th.

Unlike FO76 this'll actually be good and Ubisoft won't get sued over a bag materialQuote

It looks like a cross between Mad Max, Walking Dead and Fallout.

Interested. So far that's two game announcements that actually have me a bit stoked, on the same day. Rare!Quote

Well as the saying go's - egg's - count - chickens or something like that never know with games these days , as much as i do like a far cry game i still think they need to sort a major flaw out like enemies dont re spawn after you clear out the area leaving the game feeling empty and baronQuote

Wait wait wait... so no one is going to pull Ubi apart like they did Bethesda or Blizzard? If anything this is worse, selling you Farcry 5 "again" because this is essentially the same map with assets already in place just re textured or model swapped and a small DLCs worth of vehicles and weapons sprinkled on top.Quote
