Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake has been delayed until 2026

Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia Sands of Time Remake is now launching in 2026

Ubisoft has announced that their planned Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake is now due to release in 2026. The publisher released a new teaser for the game at their latest Ubisoft Forward event.

Originally, Ubisoft were planning to release their Prince of Persia Remake in 2021. Since then, the remake has been reworked and has had more resources allocated to it. Fans of the series were not impressed with the game’s original trailer, and Ubisoft has clearly responded to that backlash.

Sadly, Ubisoft has not revealed any new gameplay or screenshots for this upcoming remake. That means that we do not know what this new game will look like. I think it is safe to say that this remake will not look like the remake’s original trailers.

With their new trailer, Ubisoft has not confirmed the release platforms for their new Prince of Persia Remake. We expect the game to be exclusive to PC and current-generation console platforms. That said, the remake was originally coming to both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Will Ubisoft abandon these platforms now that their remake is launching in 2026?
