Naughty Dog confirms that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will support DLSS on PC at launch
Yesterday, Naughty Dog revealed the PC release date of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (a package that includes enhanced versions of Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy) alongside the game's PC system requirements (read more about this here). As part of this announcement, it was revealed that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection would support AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 upscaling technology at launch, leaving many to believe that the game would not support Nvidia's DLSS AI upscaling technology on PC.
On ResetEra, Naughty Dog's Vice President, Arne Meyer has confirmed that Nvidia's DLSS technology will be included as part of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on day 1, news that will come as music to the ears of owners of Nvidia RTX graphics cards.
Generally, Nvidia's DLSS technology delivers higher fidelity results than FSR 2.0, with the downside of Nvidia's technology being that it only runs on Nvidia's RTX series graphics cards. In contrast, AMD's FSR 2.0 technology can be used with all modern graphics cards, and recent updates to AMD's FSR 2.0 technology has further improved the quality of its visual output (read more about FSR 2.1 here).
On PC, Uncharted; Legacy of Thieves Collection will feature an unlocked framerate, support for ultra wide screen resolutions, upscaling in the form of DLSS and FSR 2.0, and a large suite of adjustable graphics options. On PC, the game will be available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
