Valve Receives an F in Customer Service

Valve has received an F for their customer service from the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for it's game storefront/client Steam and urging the company to improve it's customer service.

The BBB has also revealed that out of 718 reported complaints against the company that 503 complaints were not even responded to, leaving more than the majority of complaints unanswered or even acknowledged, a horrible state of affairs to say the least.

More Regional Restrictions come to Steam

(This comes not long after Valve has added more regional restrictions to the service)

As I said before in a previous article Valve's customer service is in dire need of reform, as despite Steam being the clear king of the hill when it comes to purchasing and playing PC games it is widely regarded to have the worst customer service, with EA's Origin and Ubisoft's Uplay being widely regarded as offering a much better experience. Anybody who has ever tried to get a refund on Steam for a broken/buggy game will know what I mean.

With Valve opening their storefront to more and more developers and offering new products through like Early Access, an OS in the form of SteamOS and will soon be offering a new Controller, Streaming devices and entire systems, Valve will need to drastically improve their customer service if it wished to succeed in these area's and wish to maintain the trust of their many loyal consumers.

Unfortunately, Steam is no longer what it used to be. Seriously, it devolved as the time passed. What used to be a fair, easy-access market is now a craphole with no decent support and 20th century policies. Even Origin provides refunds and doesn't have regional restrictions...Quote
