Valve reveals Counter Strike 2, and its launching this summer
Counter Strike 2 has been revealed, and it is built using Valve’s Source 2 engine
It’s official, Counter Strike 2 is coming, and it will launching this summer. Valve has confirmed that Counter Strike 2 will be utilising the company’s new Source 2 game engine and that the game will be receiving an “overhaul to every system.
Fans of Counter Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) will be glad to know that Valve will be bringing “every piece of content” to their new Counter Strike game, and that Counter Strike 2 will feature improved visuals, a new “beyond tick rate” gameplay system, and responsive smoke.
  Counter-Strike 2 is the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strikeâs history, ensuring new features and updates for years to come.
All of the gameâs new features will be revealed when it officially launches this summer, but the road to Counter-Strike 2 will begin later today with a Limited Test for select CS:GO players. During this testing period, weâll be evaluating a subset of features to shake out any issues before the worldwide release.

Some Counter strike players will be able to play Counter Strike 2 starting today as part of “Limited Testing”. Players of CS:GO will be glad to know that all of their items will carry through to Counter Strike 2, and that Counter Strike 2 will be a free upgrade for all CS:GO owners.
