Â
Valve’s Steam link app for Samsung’s 2016/2017 UHD Smart TVs has officially left beta, which means that PC gamers can now freely download the app and stream their PC games directly onto their TV.Â
Â
The app is now available on Samsung’s Smart Hub app store and offers the same functionality as Valve’s standalone Steam link hardware. Right now the following controllers are supported on Samsung’s 2016/2017 4K smart TVs.Â
- – Steam Controller
- – Xbox 360 wired and wireless
- – Xbox One wired
- – Logitech F510/F710

When using the Steam Link app from Samsung’s Smart Hub, functionality is almost identical to the dedicated Steam Link box, showing a Steam Big Picture mode.Â
At this time it is unknown if any other major TV manufacturers plan on supporting Valve’s Steam Link software.Â
