Wallmart Canada leaks a long list of upcoming games

Gaming leaks from retailers are not unusual, confirming the upcoming announcement of specific titles or revealing screenshots and other information early.

Wallmart Canada has accidentally listed a long list of games that are set to be revealed at E3 2018, covering most major publishers like Microsoft, Ubisoft, Gearbox, Sony and Square Enix. This leak showcases many of what are likely to be E3 reveal titles, making this one of the biggest retail gaming leaks in history, offering potential E3 spoilers for everyone who views the games list below.

Some of the most notable titles in this list are Borderlands 3 and RAGE 2 from Gearbox and Bethesda respectively, both of which are highly anticipated sequels. There is also a game called Destiny Comet, which could be referring to new expansion content for Destiny 2.

This year marks the first E3 where Square Enix plans to hold a standalone conference, with the leak below revealing titles like Just Cause 4, Dragon Quest 2 (Dragon Quest Builders 2?) and Final Fantasy VII’s remake.

From Microsoft, this leak reveals both Gears of War 5 and Forza Horizon 5 (though the least Forza Horizon was Forza Horizon 3), both of which have been rumoured in the past. In this list, Ubisoft also has several upcoming titles, like an unannounced Assassin’s Creed, The Division 2 (which was previously teased), Splinter Cell and Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Other first-party console titles that leaked include Sony’s The Last of Us Part II, and Nintendo’s Smash Bros. Switch and Metroid Prime 4.

At this time it is unknown how these game listing suddenly went online, though it is likely due to some form of incompetence from Wallmart’s staff, or as a joke from annoyed members of staff. Regardless, these listings shouldn’t be considered as fact, though most of the games seem likely to be showcased at this year’s E3.
