2019's The Game Awards are about to start, and with them will come new game reveals, exclusive trailers and a celebration of what this year had to offer within the world of videogames.
This year marks the end of a decade, as well as the end of a console generation. This time next year, both Sony's PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Scarlett will be released, making now the beginning of the end for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
At the awards show, Epic Games is expected to make a new Fortnite themed announcement, Valve is expected to showcase Half-Life: Alyx (Update, Valve has now confirmed that Half-Life: Alyx will not be shown) and every platform holder is expected to showcase some of their top 2019 game releases. If rumours are to be believed, Sony is also likely to announce the PC release of one of this generation's top PlayStation exclusives.
The Game Awards will broadcast live at 5:30 PM PT and 8:30 PM EST, which in the UK translates to 1:30 AM (December 13th). In Japan, this will translate to 10:30 AM (December 13th) and in Australia, this will translate to 11:30 AM (December 13th). This will make the awards show hard watching for UK viewers.
