WhatsApp is rumoured to be creating a unsend feature to delete unread texts

Whatsapp is currently rumoured to have brought their unsend message feature into a beta version of message sending app, though the feature is only usable on select servers and beta versions of WhatsApp at this time.

This feature will allow users to delete messages for everyone in a chat if the message is unread, allowing users to prevent unwanted/unintended messages from being read. This is useful for those that frequently post meggings with spelling mistakes that they want to fix or delete a message that was sent to the wrong recipient or to delete that embarrassing text you accidentally sent.

The “Delete for Everyone” feature is also said to remove notifications from the notifications of other users, which will prevent even a preview of the deleted message from being read.

Most WhatsApp users are currently unable to use this feature, though it looks like the company is ready to roll out this update to consumers relatively soon, provided these beta tests go well.
