Microsoft's Mike Ybarra has confirmed that Windows 10's upcoming "Game Mode" will work with both UWP games and traditional Win32 games, which means that effectively all PC games will benefit from this new mode.

It has also been confirmed that "Game Mode" will be coming with Windows 10's Creators update, which is the OS' first major feature update after 2016's Aniversary update. Some of these features will be available in future Windows Insider builds, though the full Creators update will not launch until Spring 2017.

Increased performance in gaming

Our goal is to make Windows 10 the best Windows ever for gaming. With the Creators Update, we’re introducing a new feature called Game Mode. Windows Insiders will start seeing some of the visual elements for Game Mode this week, with the feature being fully operational in builds shortly thereafter.

Our vision is for Game Mode to optimize your Windows 10 PC for increased performance in gaming. This is a big update for Windows; we’re looking forward to Insiders getting their hands on this new feature for further testing, and we’ll have much more to share on what it is and how it works soon, so stayed tuned.

Windows 10's game mode will work on both Win32 and UWP games

At this time it is unknown how much Windows 10's "Game Mode" will affect game performance, though we will certainly be testing this feature to find out when it released with the Aniversary Update.

Yeah, I would love a version where all these apps are gone and we could install them from the Windows store IF we wanted them. Many are a waste of space frankly.

Here are a few of OC3Ds guides on removing stuff if you need to.

An OS that is slimline and just focuses on gaming, This is what I've always wished for and not unnecessary fluff that I don't need.

I already did the first 2 thanks . Though I missed the removing OneDrive from file explorer so thanks! It's frustrating that I have to do all this each time I reinstall the OS.

Next time I reinstall, I will write a script to hopefully do all this in one go!Quote
