Witcher 3 Delayed Again.

Witcher 3 delay is to fix bugs and improve performance

It has been revealed that The Witcher 3 delay is to fix only bugs and improve performance as the in-game content is already finished. CD Project Red really wants to release a game which performs well on all platform and is released with as few bugs and as much bugs as possible.

Many people has previously claimed that the game was delayed due to trouble in the games development or due to the game not being "content complete". In an email to the website Nerdacy CD Project Red's CEO and Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski had this to say;

"We are removing the final bugs and still running optimization in various areas. What it will result in is a smoother and more engaging experience and, yes, the game looking better across all platforms. The content is locked, so no content changes are being made at this point. The scale of the open world in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is unprecedented, so fear not – there is enough gameplay to keep you playing for weeks."

Witcher 3 Delayed Again

If what the Studio's CEO said was true The Witcher 3 is finished and should look and perform better due to it's delay, which is comforting given the problems with many recent releases, Assassin's Creed Unity anyone? Personally I am very happy that CD Project Red is taking the time to give this game a little bit of spit and polish, instead of releasing the game in it's current state.

hopping for moding tools from day 1, they delayed 2-3 years in witcher 2 with the redkit.

So someone tell them, no moding no money.

The only thing I dont like is their passion to restrict the game with a book. It is based on a book, so they cannot add RP features such as housing, strongholds, hirelings, etc.

So the witcher cannot have a camp or a house, because they hate him, nobody wants to follow him because he is hateful.. Its a turn off.Quote

It doesn't really matter why they delayed the release. If the end result is a complete and working game, the delay will be worth it.Quote
