You only have 1 week to use Microsoft's Windows 10 "Free Upgrade"

The Windows 10 "Free Upgrade" for Windows 7 and 8.1 users will end on July 30th, costing $120 or £99.99 thereafter.

This means that those who are currently running Windows 7 or 8.1 will only have one more week to upgrade to the new OS for free, as if they decide to upgrade after it may cost them a lot more than expected.

Below is a statement from Microsoft:

Windows 10 is the best version of Windows yet, and is now running on 300 million active devices. Watch Bryan Roper from the Windows team run through the 10 top reasons to upgrade to Windows 10 – before the free upgrade offer ends on July 30th.

I just hope i did it right, everything seems fine but i'm sitting on Win 10 Pro, upgraded from Home way back in the early preview builds, that said i think it's tied to the Microsoft account so if there's an issue i assume it will downgrade automatically to Home based on that information.Quote

Honestly 8.1 has some features I would love to have back in 10, and it is by far one of the most stable builds I have used. But I would rather have the support and features 10 allows and begrudgingly have left it behind. That said I don't miss the start screen for the few times I had to see it and it is on my old boot drive if I need to go back Quote
