ADATA has today announced their XPG SX950 line of SSDs, which offer SATA sequential read/write speeds of 560MB/s and 530MB/s respectively.

This new SSD will be available in 240GB, 480GB and 960GB versions, all of which use 3D MLC NAND and Silicon Motion controllers. The XPG SX950 series of SSD will also make use of SLC caching, allowing the SSD to use a portion of the SSD as SLC NAND, allowing the drive to operate faster than a standard MLC-based SSD.

ADATA will also be backing up this new SSD with a 6-year warranty, which is a very long time for a modern SSD.

Right now ADATA has not announced the pricing of these new SSDs, though they are expected to be places in the “premium SATA” section of the SSD market.
