Kingston HyperX Predator NVMe SSD

Kingston have been showcasing their new HyperX Predator NVMe SSD, which has stated read and write speeds of 2,585MB/s and 1,354MB/s respectively and will have capacities of up to 960GB.

This drive will be using the new NVMe protocol, unlike it’s previous iteration that used te aging/ slower AHCI protocol, allowing this drive to make full use of of the M.2 interface/ PCI express bus.

Looking at this drive we can see that it is slightly longer than it’s previous iteration, but the M.2 slot/ interface is standardized and in most cases is capable of accommodating this extra length.

Right now we do not have pricing information on this drive, but it is expected to launch within the next few months.
