Memory solutions manufacturer Kingston today unveiled two kits for SSDs under the brand name SSDNow M Series. The kits allow the drives to be used either as a desktop or portable drive and come with an Intel X25-M SSD drive.
Â
The bundle includes drive bay mounting brackets in 2.5in and 3.5in variants, screws, a 2.5in enclosure with USB interface, and SATA and power cable. The company is offering a choice of 80GB or 160GB capacity for the Intel X25-M SSD. An additional inclusion in the bundle is the Acronis True Image drive cloning software.
Â
While the 80GB kit will retail at $427.50, the 160GB version is likely to cost US843. Not a bad deal considering that the kits only add about $10 each to the current price of the SSDs.
