PNY reveals their budget-oriented CS1311 series of SSDs

Not everyone can afford premium NVMe SSDs, but everyone desires a system that can boot quickly and open apps within a few moments. Budget SSDs are key in today’s market, offering users with huge increases in system responsiveness over traditional hard drives but offers pricing that is much more affordable than today’s higher-end SSD offerings.

PNY has announced their new CS1311 series of SSDs, coming with capacities of between 120GB and 960GB and utilises TLC NAND to offer a nice balance between performance and affordability.  These new SSDs will utilise the industry standard SATA interface and offer sequential read/write speeds of up to 550/520MB/s respectively, though it is expected that the lower capacity SSDs in this series will offer reduced write performance.

These speeds are not slow when compared to other SATA SSDs, with these drives offering read and write random performance of around 90,000 IOPS, which is much higher than anyone could expect from a standard HDD.

PNY will be backing up these new SSDs with a three-year warranty, though sadly the company has not released the MSRP prices of these new SSDs.
