Sabrent's latest SSD is ready for Microsoft's DirectStorage API

Sabrent has officially revealed their new Rocket 4 PLUS G SSD, a new model of their Rocket 4 Plus SSD that features Sabrent's optimised O2 GO firmware. This new firmware prepares Sabrent for Microsoft's DirectStorage API, and is designed to push Sabrent's Rocket 4 Plus series further than ever before.

Microsoft's DirectStorage API is designed to provide users with an optimised path to storage that decreases CPU overhead and I/O latency. DirectStorage takes full advantage of the parallelism offered by modern SSDs, enabling reduced load times in games and more.

Sabrent's new Rocket 4 Plus G SSD is optimised for gaming, but the SSD's latest firmware is also ideal for content creation. The Rocket 4 Plus G is designed for multi-tasking, whether it be for gaming, content creation, or both simultaneously.

Sabrent's new Rocket 4 Plus G SSD has also launched with a new heatsink design, which is available as a standalone heatsink for all M.2 2280 sized SSDs. Below is Sabrent's press release for their Rocket 4 Plus G SSD.

In late 2022, a 4TB NVMe SSD should not be costing $700.

This isn't new, exotic, expensive to manufacture technology any more, Its mainstream.

What we're seeing here is blatant price gouging and targeting of idiot PC gamers and their seemingly bottomless pit of money available to them for throwing down the drain because of no self control and a huge dose of FOMO.Quote
