Sabrent’s new Apex X16 Rocket 5 Destroyer is a MONSTER

Storage insanity! Sabrent has created a 16x PCIe 5.0 SSD juggernaut

Sabrent have built their largest PCIe 5.0 SSD to date, bringing together sixteen 4TB Rocket 5 SSDs to create something crazy. Meet the Sabrent Apex X16 Rocket 5 Destroyer, a 64TB storage solution.

With eight PCIe 5.0 slots on one side and a further eight on the other, the Apex 16x PCIe 5.0 add-on card can deliver incredible storage speeds. It is limited to the bandwidth potential of sixteen PCIe 5.0 lanes, allowing this SSD solution to surpass the power of any single SSD on the market.

In theory, Sabrent could create a 128TB version of this monstrous SSD. All they would need to do is build an 8TB model of their Rocket 5 SSD. That would allow Sabrent to double the storage potential of their colossal Rocket 5 Destroyer.

Sabrent has claimed that their 64TB Destroyer SSD can deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 56/54 GBps respectively. Sabrent also claims that this solution can deliver 20 million 4K random read IOPS and 19 million 4K random write IOPS.

When Sabrent revealed this new SSD to us, they claimed that it will be “available to order soon”. Currently, we have no pricing information about this HUGE SSD.
