Sony Reveals SLW-M Series of consumer SSDs
Â
Sony has started selling consumer SSD and will soon make their international debut with their new 2.5″ SLW-M series SATA SSD which supports read and write speeds of 560MB/s and 530MB/s and capacities of up to 480GB.
Right now we do not know what kind of NAND or what controller these new SSDs are using, but they will be coming in the 7mm 2.5″ form factor with a spacer to work as a 9.5mm sized drie ad come with True Image 2015 HD and Sony’s own SSD Toolbox software.Â
 Â
Â
Sony is very new to the SSD market, with their previous SSD models only being available to purchase in Japan, so hopefully Sony has what it takes to make it on the international stage with stiff competition form the likes of Crucial, Samsung and the many other SSD manufacturers.Â
