TEAMGROUP lauches their T-Force CARDEA Z540 12GB/s PCIe 5.0 SSD

TEAMGROUP's T-FORCE CARDIA Z540 SSD delivers top of the line PCIe 5.0 performance to PC builders

TEAMGROUP has officially launched their new T-FORCE CARDIA Z540 PCIe 5.0 SSD, the company's new storage flagship. This SSD is an PCIe 5.0 NVMe 2.0 SSD that promises to deliver users up to 12,000 MB/s sequential read speeds and up to 10,000 GB/s sequential write speeds, blasting past all currently available PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

This new SSD from TEAMGROUP is designed to support the latest AMD and Intel hardware platforms, utilising the bandwidth potential of PCIe 5.0 to deliver performance levels that simply cannot be reached with older hardware.

Like many of TEAMGROUP's latest SSDs, their T-FORCE CARDIA Z540 drive features an ultra-thin graphene heatsink that combines several patented technologies. This heatsink is less than 1mm thick and basically looks like a branding sticker on their product. In reality, this heatspreader increases the effectiveness of this SSD's cooling capabilities, both when this drive is combined with a heatsink, and when the drive is used without a heatsink.

TEAMGROUP has claimed that their labs have found that their Z540 SSD is 3-5 degrees cooler when used with standard motherboard M.2 heatsinks when their graphine heatspeader is applied. Not bad for a heatspreader that is less than 1mm thick.

Currently we have not received any information about the pricing of TEAMGROUP's T-FORCE CARDEA Z540 SSD, though you can expect this SSD to sit on the premium side of the SSD spectrum given its specifications and listed performance levels.

TEAMGROUP has confirmed that the first batch of T-FORCE CARDEA Z540 M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSD will be available in 2TB drive capacities and be sold worldwide in Q2 2023.
