For many years the Raspberry Pi has been a dominant name in the low-cost “creators” market, with their boards being a household name for those who are entering into the world of robotics, coding and Linux.

Over the years many companies have tried to replace the Raspberry Pi as the performance leader for the low-cost creators market, though most have failed to supplant the well-known Raspberry brand, even when their hardware offers a better price to performance ratio.

Now ASUS are entering the arena with their 90MB0QY1-M0EAY0 Tinker Board, which comes with 2GB of RAM, H.264 decode abilities and an ARM CPU that is theoretically more powerful than a Raspberry Pi.
