ASUS ROG tease their first Ryzen powered notebook

Ever since Ryzen launched for desktop, many PC users have been wondering when we would be seeing mobile products based on the new architecture.

This week at AMD's Financial Analyst Day AMD officially revealed their new Ryzen mobile series of CPUs, which would come with Zen CPU cores and Vega GPU cores, delivering the best technology that AMD can offer in a single, low power package.

Today, ASUS has started teasing their upcoming Ryzen-powered notebook series, revealing their plans to showcase this new technology at Computex 2017 and confirming that Ryzen APUs are already in the hands of system integrators.

AMD's new Ryzen Mobile APUs will be transformative for the company, who have for a long time been behind Intel in terms of both power efficiency and performance in the mobile space.

Now thanks to the power of their new Ryzen CPU cores and their powerful Vega integrated graphics, AMD now has a chance to regain market share in the mobile space, offering a package that is attractive to both general consumers and gamers alike.

Sadly ASUS' teaser reveals little more than an ROG-themed notebook and a Ryzen logo, so we will have to wait until Computex to see how AMD's new mobile Ryzen SoCs perform.
