Corsair becomes Lenovo’s exclusive memory partner for gaming PCs

Corsair has revealed that they are now Lenovo’s exclusive memory partner for Lenovo’s range of gaming PCs, starting with new models of the Lenovo Legion Y920.

This move from Lenovo shows that Lenovo has a lot of faith in Corsair to deliver high-performance memory for their systems with both the quantity and reliability that the company requires.

To kick off this partnership Corsair will be delivering Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory for use in Lenovo’s new Legions Y920 Tower systems, which currently come with Flagship K-series Kaby Lake CPUs and GTX 10 series GPUs. This new model is expected to release in September.

Corsair, a world leader in PC components, high-performance gaming hardware and enthusiast memory, today announced an exclusive OEM partnership with Lenovo to bring performance, overclockable memory to Lenovo’s range of gaming PCs. Combining CORSAIR’s deep engineering expertize in performance memory with Lenovo’s high-performance gaming PC design, CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX high-performance DDR4 memory will be available as an optional performance upgrade for the new Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower.

While the Lenovo Legion Y920 Tower is the first product of the collaboration between CORSAIR and Lenovo, the partnership doesn’t end there. Both companies will share more later, as this partnership further cements both CORSAIR and Lenovo’s commitment to providing powerful gaming experiences for the most passionate gamers.

With this move, Corsair will be pushing more of their branded memory into gaming systems, which will certainly help their brand to gain more recognition outside of traditional consumer circles. In time Corsair could become a supplier for more than just memory components for Lenovo and others, though these OEM relationships often take a long time to build up.
