The world’s first AMD Threadripper system has been announced, coming from Alienware in the form of their Area 51 Threadripper Edition. 
 
Prices for this system have not been announced yet, though it will feature 12-core/24-thread or 16-core/32-thread Threadripper CPUs with factory overclocks at liquid cooling. Standard systems will release with quad-channel 2667 MHz DDR4 memory and up to 64GB of 2933MHz in quad-channel mode.   
 
Graphics options for this system will start off with Nvidia’s GTX 1050Ti and AMD’s RX 570, maxing out with either dual GTX 1080 Ti GPUs or three RX 580 GPUs.  
 
During 2017, Dell will be AMD’s exclusive partner for Threadripper pre-built systems. At this time it is unknown when AMD Threadripper will hit retail shelves. 
 
 
Through 2017, Dell will be the exclusive OEM partner to deliver AMD Ryzen Threadripper pre-built systems to the market and the high-end 16-core will be factory-overclocked across all 16-cores and 32 logical threads.
