During their Gaming Press Conference at Computex 2015 in Taipe, MSI has announced multiple new gaming products. Ranging from laptops, an All-in-One PC, a new Nightblade barebone, GPUs, multiple motherboards and even a new global gaming tournament. We at OC3D are here to give you an in-depth look at MSI’s Gaming lineup for Computex 2015.

 

Masters Gaming Arena 2015, formerly known as MSI Beat It

 

The Masters Gaming Arena Tournament is a new gaming tournament, and MSI will host it. Partners are Blizzard Entertainment (World of Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft and Hearthstone) and the Electronic Sports League (better known as ESL). The tournament will have a prize pool of over US$200,000 in cash. MGA 2015 will feature Starcraft II and Hearoes of the Storm, both developed by Blizzard Entertainment. Managing Director HW/HK/Macau, Eddy Meng says: "Heroes of the Storm™ officially launches today! And MSI MGA will be the very first global tournament featuring Heroes of the Storm™. With MSI's powerful gaming gear, we look forward to see world’s best players to show their astonishing skills in our games."

Aside from the MGA tournament, MSI also highlighted its diverse array of gaming lineup. MSI’s gear can be seen at Computex 2015 at Taipe World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall Booth #L0617, but since most of you are not attending Computex, we at OC3D have got you covered. Let’s take a look at MSI’s product lineup.

 

Laptops:

 

We’re starting off with laptops. MSI has a bunch of them. First in line, the feature-packed GT72.This laptop features eye-tracking technology from Tobii Technology, and is in development now. MSI is demonstrating prototypes of the GT72 at Computex.
The GT72 sports the Nvidia GTX980M GPU with 8GB of GDDR5 Memory. It also features Mobile Nvidia G-Sync technology, that brings “better visual quality with adaptable FPS refresh rate, matching the gaming FPS refresh rate from 30~75Hz.” That said, the GT72 features a 17.3” display and ‘many advanced hardware for ultimate efficiency and performance.’

You could probably call the GT80 Titan MSI’s flagship notebook. Featuring SLI GTX980M GPUs, the GT80 features ‘stellar performance, easy upgrades and a full-size mechanical keyboard.’

This bad-boy features an 18.4” display, the best and latest [mobile] Core i7 Quad Core CPU and, as mentioned before, SLI GTX980M GPUs. The mechanical keyboard that’s integrated in the notebook was made in cooperation with Steelseries, and is the ‘first gaming laptop mechanical keyboard equipped with Cherry MX switches.’ The gamer-oriented Wi-Fi module, the Killer’s new ExtremeRange with Killer Wireless-AC 1535, makes the GT80 Titan an absolute beast.

The GS60/70 and GE62/72 laptops feature Nahimic technology, enhancing sound quality and precision to deliver an immersive virtual 7.1 sound. According to MSI, Nahimic has been widely acclaimed in military and aeronautics industries where sound clarity is vital. MSI’s GE72 laptop will be showcased during Computex, alongside SteelSeries gaming headsets.

Powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Quad Core CPU and NVIDIA GTX 950M/960M GPU, the Prestige-Series laptops deliver true-to-life and close to 100% sRGB image quality with MSI True Color Technology. This technology guarantees that each panel in MSI’s laptops come with great precision in color. The Prestige series laptops’ design are simple yet beautiful, with a silver metallic exterior design and a keyboard with white backlighting.

New Nightblade MI:

 

MSI’s Nightblade gaming barebone is getting a refresh with the Nightblade MI. This PC supports the latest Intel Core i7 CPUs and full sized GPUs, making it ready to take on and display the latest PC games in high detail, according to the press release.The Nightblade MI comes equipped with Military Class components to deliver stable and energy-efficient performance.

AIO PCs:

 

MSI also introduced new AIO PCs, featuring the latest Incel Core i7 and i5 PCUs and Nvidia Geforce GTX960M and 970M GPUs.

The MSI Gaming 24GE comes in Full HD and 4K flavors. It sports the GTX960M GPU and an i7 CPU, alongside a Nahimic Audio enhancer.

The AG270 2QC 3K features a 27” display with a resolution of 2560x1440 (WQHD). It comes with an i7 CPU and the GTX970M GPU, so it’s ready to take on all your gaming needs.

GPUs:

 

Now onto GPUs. The GTX 980 Gaming 4G has won the 2015 Taiwan Excellence Awards. MSI has also released the MSI GTX 980 Ti Gaming 6G GPU, which features 6GB of vRAM and MSI’s Twin Frozr V cooling solution, with a LED illuminated MSI Gaming Dragon. This LED can be controlled with MSI’s new Gaming App.

Both the GTX 980 and 980 Ti Gaming cards come equipped with a back plate with the MSI Gaming Dragon on them. MSI has the following to say about their GTX 980 Ti Gaming:“Along with the new funky LED functions and the easy tuning GAMING APP, GTX 980 Ti GAMING 6G delivers a silent and cool gaming experience.”MSI also announced their Gaming SLI bridges, which we talked about here.

Motherboards:

 

Possibly the highlight of MSI’s Computex lineup is the X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard. The brand-new motherboard features a clean design, and is the world’s first RGB motherboard, supporting ‘more than 2000 colors and many style presets like breathing, flashing and waving.’The X99A Godlike Gaming comes equipped with the latest Audio Boost 3 Pro technology. It also supports M.2 and SATA Express, as well as USB 3.1 for fast data transfer. As far as LAN technology, MSI has got you covered as well. The X99A Godlike Gaming adopts the Killer DoubleShot-X3 PRO, sporting 2 Killer Ethernet chips and a Killer 1535 Wi-Fi module. With this, the Godlike Gaming can provide up to 2,867Gbps of network bandwidth. The LEDs on the motherboard can becontrolled with the MSI Gaming App on iOS and Mystic Light App on Android.

News on an older motherboard: the X99A Gaming 9 ACK has been chosen as the Computex Best Choice Golden award winner in the Gaming and Entertainment category. “MSI offers the best GAMING motherboards and was the first vendor to release USB 3.1 motherboards on the market while offering a complete assortment,” states MSI.

Last but not least: MSI has announced that their Z97 and H97 motherboards will fully support the 5th Generation of Intel Core processors, Broadwell. With a new BIOS update, all MSI motherboards with these chipsets will be ready to take on Broadwell.

I actually kind of like the look of the board. If you put the RBG LEDs on white I think it would look ace. It is a bit too red though!
