LG enters the high-end gaming laptop market with its UltraGear brand
LG has just revealed their first UltraGear series gaming laptop, an 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake laptop with Nvidia RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics and a 300Hz IPS screen.
From the looks of it, LG's plans to not fall into the pitfalls of many "gaming" laptops, opting to ship their systems with dual-channel memory, up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E wireless, and a large number of USB ports.
LG plans to showcase their new UltraGear laptop at CES 2022 in January, where Intel is likely to reveal new 12th Generation Alder Lake series processors. Should Intel reveal Alder Lake mobile CPUs, LG's ne Tiger Lake series laptops will be outdated by the time the launch in early 2022.
