Right now is a terrible time to be searching for a new GPU, pricing is horrendous, and availability is often worse thanks to the recent cryptocurrency mining boom.

Graphics cards are selling like hot cakes across the world, as miners hunt for easy money and gamers cry in despair as upgrading becomes financially unfeasible. Moreover, it now looks like boutique system builders are now getting in on the action, with Maingear revealing their partnership with the esports brand Unikrn to create their new ACM (Advanced Crypto Miner) series of PCs.

As part of this deal, Maingear now accepts Unikrn’s UnikoinGold cryptocurrency as a payment option, with these new ACM series PCs offering the ability to mine both Etherium and UnikoinGold. Owners of these systems will also have access to exclusive mining pools.

Maingear’s ACM series systems will release in two forms, the ACM Advanced Crypto Miner and the ACM PRO, with the Pro model offering additional room for expansion and a rack-mountable chassis. On a positive note, this is easily one of the best-looking crypto miners that we have seen to date, though that doesn’t leave us any less annoyed as the number of GPUs these systems will take out of the hands of gamers.

Maingear has listed the availability of these systems as being “later this year”, these systems can be configured by users to mine any cryptocurrency on the market, though at this time the internal specifications of this miner are unknown.
