Rumor has is that Microsoft will release their upcoming Surface Pro 4 Tablet in October 2015 and it will Contain an Intel Skylake CPU and a Samsung NVMe SSD, making this Surface easily the fastest yet for day applications.

The rumored Microsoft Surface 4 Tablet will have a similar screen and form factor of it's predecessor, but contain within it more up to date hardware, including a blistering fast M.2 NVMe SSD.

Intel's Skylake CPUs should be launching within the next month, according to most recent rumors, and will be Intel's most efficient CPU architecture yet, using Intel's 14nm process. Samsung's NVMe SSD, like the SM951, are capable of delivering speeds of over 1700 MB/s, which surpasses the old SATA 3 based SSD by a large margin which typically max out at 550MB/s.

I want one. My mom has a SP3 and it's an amazing piece of technology. Hopefully this new one is a little lighter as the SP3 is a little on the heavy side when in tablet use. That's the only issue as far as I can tell they could fixQuote

I'd like to get one, would be awesome for taking during lectures. But when it comes to battery live, current and past surface models didn't come close my MacBook Air's, lets hope the new one does well in that departement.Quote
