Microsoft’s Xbox One X console is now available to Pre-order
Kicking off Gamescom 2017, Microsoft officially made their upcoming Xbox One X console available to pre-order, promising to deliver 4K gaming at a price of £449 in the UK. Â
At the console’s November 7th launch, Microsoft promises that there will be 100 games that will feature Xbox One X graphics enhancements. Aside from Microsoft’s standard console, there will also be a limited edition “Project Scorpio” version of the console, which will feature some minor aesthetic tweaks to signify that it is a special edition console.
The Xbox One X will be offering over four times the graphical horsepower of a standard Xbox One, feature an enhanced AMD Jaguar CPU with a 550MHz CPU clock speed boost and a colossal increase in memory bandwidth. More staggering is the fact that the Xbox One X is smaller than Microsoft’s existing Xbox One and Xbox One S, and has its power brick integrated into the system itself.
This makes the Xbox One X a highly compact console which comes ready for 4K or similar (upscaled or checkerboarded) gaming resolutions. Below is a comparison between the Xbox One and Xbox One X’s specifications.Â
