MSI releases their new Vortex G25 series of compact gaming PCs
MSI has released their new Vortex G25 series of PCs, offering Intel’s latest Z370 Coffee Lake Platform in a compact, console-like form factor in a chassis that can be easily mounted to the back of a monitor using VESA mounts or fitted into a backpack for easy transport.Â
In a form factor the size of a small home console, the Vortex G25 can offer up to an i7 8700 CPU and a GTX 1070 8GB GPU, offering a system that is powerful enough for most use cases.Â

Â
MSI’s new Vortex G25 series of PCs will be available in two different variations, their 8RE version with a GTX 1070 8GB GPU and their 8RD version with either a GTX 1060 3GB or GTX 1060 6GB GPU. Both of these versions will come with an 8th Generation Intel i7 series CPU and Z370 chipset, with only the PC’s GPU component receiving a major change in specifications.Â
Several models will be released for each version, offering different storage or memory configurations. These systems offer up to four DDR4 SODIMM slots to offer support for up to 64GB of DDR4 memory, which again should be more than enough for the majority of users.Â
Â
Right now MSI’s Vortex G25 8RE is already available to pre-order on Amazon UK for £1,999, which includes an i7 8700, a GTX 1070 8GB, 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 256GB NVMe SSD and a 1TB HDD. When boxed the system weighs just three kilograms.Â
