MSI has upgraded their notebook lineup with Intel’s latest 7th generation Kaby Lake CPUs and Nvidia Pascal 1050 series GPUs, offering some huge performance benefits.

Now with the release of Nvidia’s mobile GTX 1050 and 1050Ti GPUs MSI has finally been able to refresh their lower end gaming lineup, with the 1050Ti offering 15% more performance than Nvidia’s GTX965M while consuming less power. This combined with the higher CPU core clock speeds of Kaby lake allows up to 25% performance enhancements in certain gaming loads.

At CES 2017 MSI will be releasing new versions of their GT83VR, GT73VR, GT72VR, GT62VR, GS73VR, GS63VR, GS43VR, GE72VR, GE62VR, GP62VR, GP72VR, GP62MVR, GP72/GP62 and GL72/GL62 series notebooks, all of which will be shipping in early 2017.

All of these new notebooks come with new Kaby Lake CPUs and Nvidia GTX 10-series GPUs, with many of these new notebooks using new MSI’s latest Cooler Boost 4 cooling solution.

Cooler Boost 4 sees a complete redesign of MSI’s cooler channelling for optimal airflow, with this cooler innovation being said to allow up to 25% more performance in games and 10% lower system temps when compared to MSI’s previous cooling technologies.

This should mean that MSI’s upcoming range of new GE, GP and GT series notebooks will be cooler running than the companies older offerings, with a more streamlined chassis design thanks to this new cooler design.

The most significant changes have been made to MSI’s more affordable gaming offerings, moving from GTX 960m-series of GPUs to Nvidia’s new 10-series, offering both power savings and performance improvements. This will greatly improve the gaming performance of new MSI notebooks in the £700-800 price bracket, especially when combined with Kaby Lake CPUs.
