It looks like Nvidia's Shield Console may be released soon as it has been listed and swiftly taken down from Amazon.  This has revealed the console's full specifications, storage size and what items are bundles with the PC.

The Shield will be available in 2 flavors, the first the Shield Pro which will have a 500GB storage drive, which will be enough to store pretty much as many Android games as you like, with the non-Pro model only having a meager 16GB of storage space. Both will be able to support MicroSD cards, so you have the potential to add an additional 128GB of storage to the device.

The vanilla Shield will be mostly to act as an Android TV device, play Nvidia GRID Games, or stream in from your dedicated gaming PC, whereas the Pro model is clearly aimed at more of a Android Console demographic, or those who regularly download TV shows or movies from the Google Store.

Nvidia's Shield Console will include Nvidia's Newest Tegra X1 SoC, which will be significant'y more powerful than the Tegra K1 which is available in Nvidia's Shield Tablet. This SoC will contain 256 Maxwell GPU cores, compared to the Tegra K1's 192 Kepler GU cores.

Who knows if Nvidia's Shield Console will make it as an Android console, but it will definitely be the most powerful Android TV on the market, and be a great addition to you Nvidia Ecosystem (if you are willing to tie yourself to a single brand).
