AMD Ryzen 9000 Pricing Leaks through US retailers
AMD Ryzen 9000 pricing revealed through various US retailers
AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series CPU launch should have happened today, but last week AMD delayed this release until next month. Now, pricing information for these new AMD Zen 5 powered Ryzen 9000 have been revealed through various US retailers. This includes BestBuy and Newegg. These prices are lower than AMD’s initial Ryzen 7000 series CPU prices, which will be music to the ears of many PC enthusiasts.
Below is the leaked retail pricing of AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series. These prices come to us via @momomo_us on Twitter/X
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X – $599
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – $449
- AMD Ryzen 7 9700X – $359
- AMD Ryzen 5 9600X – $279
When compared to their Ryzen 9 7950X launch price, AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X is $100 lower. This is an aggressive price tag for AMD’s new high-end model. That said, AMD did price cut their Ryzen 9 7950X shortly after launch, something that may not be the case for AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 series.
9950X : $599.00
9900X : $449.00
9700X : $359.00
9600X : $279.00
5900XT : $349.00
5800XT : $249.00 pic.twitter.com/ycBZgJ7zwH— 188å· (@momomo_us) July 31, 2024
Honestly, I think these prices for AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series are pretty solid. That said, AMD’s Ryzen 5/7 pricing does seem to be on the high side when compared to Ryzen 9 models. For $90 extra, Ryzen buyers can move from eight cores to twelve cores. Similarly, for $170 more, Ryzen buyers can move from six cores to twelve cores. If you consider AMD’s pricing on a per-core basis, Ryzen 9 offers a lot more value than Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7.
