AMD to launch their Radeon RX 9070 XT alongside FSR 4 in January
AMD’s launching FSR 4 in January alongside their Radeon RX 9070 XT
Next month is going to be a big one for AMD. Not only is the company launching new Ryzen CPUs, but they are also launching new graphics cards and a new version of FSR. In January, AMD will launch Ryzen 9 X3D CPUs, their Radeon RX 9070 XT, and their new FSR 4 upscaling solution.
We already know that AMD has a new version of FSR. AMD confirmed they plan to “enable the next generation of ML-based FSR” as part of a future Call of Duty update. FSR 4 is coming, and it will be AMD’s first AI upscaling solution.
It makes sense for AMD to launch their next-generation FSR technology alongside their new RDNA 4 graphics cards. After all, it makes sense for AMD to associate their next-generation upscaling solution with their latest graphics hardware. It is unknown whether FSR 4 will work with AMD’s older GPU architectures. Given its use of AI, it may not be supported on some older Radeon graphics cards.

With their Ryzen 9 X3D CPUs, AMD will offer customers a CPU option that appeals to gamers and heavy workstation users alike. AMD’s X3D technology will enhance gaming performance, while the extra cores on their Ryzen 9 models will help users push through the heaviest of multi-threaded workloads.
CES 2025 is going to be a massive event for AMD, especially when it comes to gaming. We have new graphics cards, gaming-focused CPUs, and new gaming technologies. CES 2025 will be an event to watch if you are a PC gamer. Remember that Nvidia also plans to reveal new GPUs at CES, making the event doubly interesting for PC gamers.
