Ars technica has posted a useful guide for potential Vista buyers. The list contains an overview of limitations to using OEM software. Some limitations are minor, such as no Vista box, while some limitations may be more of a problem with OEM being tied to only one motherboard. The difference between Vista retail and OEM is $100 per version. Read the facts here .

There are four versions of retail Windows Vista. The supreme version, known as Windows Vista Ultimate has features of all other versions with addons known as Ultimate Extras.
