ASUS ROG Delta S Headset Review

Introduction

We’ve recently reviewed the ASUS ROG Strix Go, a headset which had impeccable sound quality and was only really let down, if such a term can be applied, by the lack of the flash and flair that one has come to associate with the Strix arm of the ROG brand of the ASUS company. It is akin to a Russian Doll of brands. Perhaps in a few years an even smaller new sub brand will emerge that will cater to an audience so niche that it’ll just be one girl in the Yukon deliriously happy.

We jest of course, because if there is one claim that cannot be made in the direction of the Republic Of Gamers brand it is one of a small audience. It’s a titan. It’s the Fender Stratocaster of the gaming world. Wherever you look you either find it, or find something that has been clearly influenced by it. High quality and lots of ideas are the hallmarks of the ROG brand, synonymous with that famous eye logo.

But enough waffle about the people behind today’s review, let’s get down to the ROG Delta S itself. A headset which promises high quality audio and enough bells and whistles that even the most exacting user should be satisfied. Let’s find out.

Technical Specifications

Despite being up near the top of the ASUS ROG headset range the Delta S is still a wired headset, but the inclusion of big 50mm drivers with a wide frequency response should at least mean that the sound quality overrides any considerations about being tied to your PC. No you’re hinting that ASUS should put their wireless technology in this headset.

For the twelve of you in the country who’ve managed to get your hands on the unicorn tears Playstation 5 you’ll be pleased to know that with its Type-C connector the ROG Delta S is compatible with both it and it’s black forebear.
