ASUS Strix Magnus Microphone Review

Up Close

The Magnus comes in a sturdy box replete with all the Strix branding we've come to know and love. Within the box is a tome of a manual that you quickly come to realise is actually a thin affair in every language under the sun, but that's okay because the Magnus is a simple product that doesn't need much explaining. Controls are all clearly marked with two USB ports for PC and AUX, whilst there are two volume controls to mix the microphone and the headset audio, as well as buttons to turn the lighting off and swap between the front, stereo and room recording modes. The Magnus is compact, and much lighter than you might imagine. Anyone who has endured a Blue Yeti taking up half their room will appreciate the compact dimensions. The Magnus fits snugly under even an ASUS monitor, which aren't renowned for their big stand heights. It's just much easier to live with as a permanent fitting on your desk.

I've enjoyed this video. You should do more of them sitting and talking to reviewed object. Great angle. It gives it a whole new dimension.

Gamer's mic?? RGB mic??? I don't get a point on that. There are many amateur recording mics for that money, that can probably give you better performance if you need it. Well it is RGB trend. Lets put RGB on everything. I am waiting for RGB condoms. That would make more sense than putting RGB on many other stuff they are doing.Quote
