The ASUS TUF range is famously less flashy than their ROG or Strix products, and the box reflects this with only the central U of the TUF logo giving any colour at all.
Within the box we have the H3 Wireless headset itself, a quick start guide, cable charger, the Type-C wireless receiver and an adaptor that changes this to a Type-A should you require it.
The horseshoe shaped steel headband and hinges are a very popular solution to the endless problem of weak hinges on headphones and it is no surprise to see the TUF H3 employ it. It does slightly limit the axes available to fit your head if you're particularly strangely shaped, but for 99% of people it's more than enough.
If you like to advertise your weapon of choice then the ASUS TUF H3 Wireless has you covered with a large, embossed TUF Gaming brand on across the top of the headband.
The ear cups are deeply cushioned with memory foam and covered in a protein leather which cools significantly quicker than regular leather whilst also being more friendly to the environment. You can also see the TUF logo on the inside of the headband.
Should you require a lot of vertical adjustment in your headband then the ASUS TUF H3 is the very thing for you. It also gives us a great opportunity to take a closer look at the steel band that makes up the structural rigidity of the H3 Wireless.
The microphone is very flexible and yet remains firmly in place once you've positioned it to your liking.
From left to right we have the microphone mute button, a volume toggle which also doubles as a mute button if you click it, the power button, status indicator and the all-important charging port.
