Corsair K70 RGB Keyboard

This year saw a reduction in the amount of keyboards we reviewed, but an increase in the quality of every one. The ubiquitous Cherry MX switches ensured that nearly every keyboard was worthy of consideration but the Corsair K70 RGB stunned us with the amazing levels of customisation available. That the K70 is built well isn't news, given how solid the non-RGB model is.

We mentioned the excellence of the new Cougar offerings in our Mice roundup, and their 700K keyboard was equally as brilliant. The combination of great build quality and Cherry MX switches would place it amongst the better models already, but Cougar add outstanding software and lighting customisation to really stand out from the crowd. It might not have the colour options of the Corsair, but if you don't mind the orange then there is no reason at all not to buy one.
